Nothing Phone 3

Nothing Phone 3

The Nothing Phone 3 is one of the most awaited smartphone releases of 2025. With Carl Pei’s brand now firmly established in the global smartphone market, fans and tech enthusiasts are eager to see how the company evolves its signature transparent design, Glyph interface, and clean software experience. Building on the success of the Nothing Phone 1 and 2, the third-generation device is expected to offer solid upgrades while keeping the brand’s minimalist, performance-focused philosophy intact.

Design has always been central to Nothing’s identity, and the Phone 3 will continue the trend of transparency. Leaks suggest a refined transparent back panel with a slimmer Glyph interface — this time featuring more customizability and possible integration with real-time app notifications, ringtones, and even camera functions. The device is expected to be lighter and thinner, with improved build quality using more sustainable materials like recycled aluminum and strengthened Gorilla Glass.

Internally, the Nothing Phone 3 is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 or Dimensity 8300 Ultra, depending on Nothing’s choice for balancing performance and price. This chip will offer a significant performance uplift compared to the Nothing Phone 2, improving app responsiveness, gaming stability, and energy efficiency. It’s expected to be paired with 8GB/12GB RAM options and storage configurations ranging from 128GB to 512GB, all using UFS 4.0 for faster data access.

On the display front, the Phone 3 is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, and higher peak brightness, possibly exceeding 2,200 nits. Thinner bezels and a flat edge design will maintain the signature clean aesthetic while improving the immersive viewing experience. The front camera will likely remain centered with a small punch-hole design and improved low-light performance.

Camera upgrades are also on the cards. While Nothing typically takes a minimalist approach with dual rear cameras, the Phone 3 is expected to pack a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with improved image processing and OIS. The secondary camera may either be an upgraded ultra-wide lens or a periscope telephoto lens with 2x–3x zoom. Nothing is focusing on enhancing color science, video stability, and computational photography with support from its own custom tuning software.

One of the standout features is expected to be the Glyph 2.0 system. This version could go beyond LED light patterns and introduce app-based integrations, like showing charging progress, countdowns, or live music visualizers. This would make the lights not just aesthetic, but functionally useful. The device is also likely to include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, improved haptics, and IP54 water resistance.

Battery life is expected to improve with a 5,000mAh unit, supporting 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Reverse wireless charging could also make a return. The device will run on Nothing OS 3, based on Android 15, offering a clean, bloat-free experience with customization options, minimal animations, and deep integration with Nothing’s ecosystem, including the upcoming CMF Watch Pro 2 and Ear 3.

In India, the Nothing Phone 3 is expected to be priced from ₹44,999 for the base variant, making it highly competitive in the premium mid-range segment. Higher-end models could go up to ₹54,999 depending on RAM and storage. The launch is projected for November or December 2025, with availability through Flipkart and offline retail stores shortly after.
